"PAKSTAN"

As we all know Pakistan means the "Land Of Pure" but i have recently found out something very interesting about where our nation got it's name from. See the original spelling of Pakistan is actually PAKSTAN. And each letter in Pakstan represents something; P for Punjab, A for Afganiyat [Now known as NWFP and FATA], K for Kashmir, S for Sindh, and ending with ‘tan’ for Baluchistan. Now is that amazing or what?!? And this isn't just another theory or a myth but actually came from the famous Time Magazine [Aug. 13, 2007 edition to be exact]. I Hope you enjoyed this little yet amazing fact, i know i did ;)

Truly amazing. Didn't know the history behind the name before. But, wasn't it Choudhary Rahmat Ali who came up with the name Pakistan? That's what I've been reading all this time atleast.

P.S. please update your blogroll with my new address; http://sealedandsigned.blogspot.com

Found it; " Muhammad Iqbal., a popular poet-philosopher of the day, is said to have suggested taking the first letters of the names of the provinces that formed the new nation: Punjab, Afganiyat (known during the British Raj as the Northwest Frontier), Kashmir and Sindh, ending with ‘tan’ from Baluchistan ."
http://www.geocities.com/dapat_tapatt/pakstan.htmlbut other evidences also show it might be choudhary rahmat, so im gonna take that out of the post to clear things up
