First and foremost, i'm sorry i havent been able to put up a new post yesterday and the fact that i'm posting late than usual today. And to the people that emailed me asking if i disappeared again;don't worry i'm still here lol. I've been busy with some academic related issues that couldn't be ignored . Anyway with the little time I have, I'm going to share with you guys a story of a brave patriot named Bilal Omar Khan. He was one of the victims killed in the terrorist attack in the army residential masjid in parade lane [Rawalpindi].
RAWALPINDI, Dec 5: In Maj-Gen Bilal Omar Khan’s death the country lost a dynamic and intrepid Armoured Corps officer known by his acquaintances as a friend of friends.
Late Maj-Gen Bilal was amongst the victims of a terrorist attack which took place at the Army residential mosque in Parade Lane.
One of the eyewitnesses told Dawn: “His last brave action will always be remembered as instead of ducking for safety he tried to overpower one of the terrorists inside the mosque and lost his life when hit by a bullet from point blank.”
Known to his friends as ‘Billy’, late Gen Bilal was born on February 3, 1954 and got commission in the Army in 1973 in the 19th Lancers.
He was also the president of the Pakistan Polo Association and Equestrian Federation and had represented Pakistan in 2007 Polo World Cup in New Zealand.
“Maj-Gen Bilal was an excellent polo player, mostly playing in the forward line. He was a very aggressive polo professional playing the game with passion and sincerity,” said Col Raja Nadeem, one of his close associates.
“He was also a good hunter and used to go for shooting along with me in the toughest terrains of the northern region,” he said.
“Once we were in the mountains for hunting and the temperature there was -10 degrees centigrade. I was amazed to see Billy making ablution even in the freezing temperature of the north,” Col Nadeem said.
Polo had always been his passion and that was why Maj-Gen Bilal was attached to the game.“He used to play for Marco Polo Club mainly because he was the winner of the Marco Polo Sheep Trophy,” Col Nadeem said.
Marco Polo Sheep hunting is one of the toughest and most thrilling trophies in the world for renowned hunters played in the mountains of central Asia.
Col Nadeem recalled that Gen Bilal was a brave and upright man.
“It was Bilal’s style as he did not escape from the mosque during the attack and instead stayed there to fight the terrorists,” he said.
For Brig Sikander, another friend of Gen Bilal, it was a tragic loss.
He said: “Late Bilal belonged to a respectable family (Burki) and was a well mannered and whole hearted gentleman.”
“I cannot forget the day when I left the command of a brigade in Kharian and Gen Bilal took over from me. I sent him the staff car that very day, but Gen Bilal called me in the evening to inform me that he will use his personal car until I make some arrangements and sent the staff car back to me,” Brig Sikander said.
Gen Bilal was not only a mentor to junior army officers at Rawalpindi Polo Club but to the Air Force polo players alike.
“You people (Air Force players) ride horses like you are flying jets. They are not jets they are your horses,” Wing Cdr Shafiq said while taking a walk down memory lane.
Wing Cdr Shafiq said: “After Maghrib prayers Gen Bilal used to guide us on polo and gave us tips to play better and to win crucial fixtures.”
Gen Bilal left behind a widow, two sons and a daughter. He was laid to rest with full military honour at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi.
Around a week ago, news came out that Americans were now only allowed to land in Islamabad and nowhere else in the country. Unusual activities of Americans in Pakistan have forced the government to take this decision and the arrest of five US nationals from Sargodha also played a key role in it. Americans can now only land in Islamabad, and they will have to complete the whole immigration process in order for them to stay in the nation. I think that is one of the best moves our government could ever make. There is too much mess caused by foreign elements in Pakistan and this is a step forward to curb it. We should apply this law to most, if not, all foreigners with no Pakistani background. Because if you really think about it, except for politics (which is handled in Islamabad) what other business do they really have in our nation? This could also prevent a popular belief that agencies like blackwater and cia are working in our nation (which i think might be true but their probably not working against us since they spent so much money on us). This is a beginning of much much safer Pakistan!

Enraged people set several vehicles on fire in reaction to a power blast that ripped through Karachi’s main Ashura procession, killing at least 20 people. Angry mobs set ablaze a Light House building located at the MA Jinnah Road with several people still stranded in it. Several vehicles have also been set on fire including ambulances, and police mobiles. Several police stations were also attacked. I can understand what the karachites are going through, but what good will it do if they cause damage to their own selves. The Karachi public has to be much smarter with the way they handle with these attacks. I mean setting ambulances and police vehicles on fire is going to help no one and will in fact hurt the karachites even more. In a big city like Karachi people really need these resources and by destroying them you really are just causing more chaos. Look how many times Peshawar got bombed this year, and they barely rioted because they know doing something like this is only going to hurt them and benefit the attackers. Also, the Karachi authorities have prevented more terrorist plots than any other city in the nation so you have to give them a little respect and forgive them for one mishap. All i have to say is that; Karachi you have to stay more united because that's the only way we are gonna beat the bastards that started this mess.
I don't know how much I hate Benazir Bhutto, I really don't. When she was alive she was just any other corrupt leader to me but when she died she became like poison. It's nothing she did [well sort of], but how my nation's people made her after her death. Some can say she died a Rockstar's death; the Rockstar is valued more after his/her death than if they were alive. For some unknown reason she became to Pakistani public as Jesus [Prophet Isa] is to the Christians. People keep chanting in the press and in the streets of how great she was. I got several questions for those people;
1. What the hell did she accomplish during the 2 terms she was in office?
NOTHING! In fact she and Nawaz Sharif almost made Pakistan into a failed state.
2. Didn't she get kicked out twice for corruption?
She was also charged for corruption internationally by 3 other countries other than Pakistan!
3.Isn't she the wife of the same corrupt bastard that is leading the government right now?
It was during her term that he became known as Mr.10% and made his fortune ripping off the public and smuggling gold across the Arabian sea.
I'm tired of PPP stating she died for her country; she didn't. She died trying to get back in power. The same power her husband is abusing right now [she would've probably been as bad or even worst than him]. If she wanted to save her country she would've came back a long time ago, but she feared jail too much and her love for her country probably wasn't as strong until Musharraf allowed her to come back. What i fear the most is that her son is gonna come to power soon or later; another era of mindless leadership is awaiting us. Great job Pakistan, waste your energy on remembering a selfish and corrupt bitch because she really did so much for us![being sarcastic]
Did you know Musharraf is on facebook?!? I just found out recently and (me being me) I added him as fast as I could lol. He's not like most celebs in the the world that barely update their blogs or anything like that, he actually posts some interesting stuff up such as pictures of his presidency days etc. He also interacts with his facebook friends and fans and updates his status as well. You can add him through his facebook by clicking
here. Hope you have fun interacting with one of Pakistan's most successful leaders!

"On the day of his birth, I would like to reflect on how fortunate Pakistan is to have had a founder like Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and revive our commitment to his dreams for us."

"Merry Christmas to all our fellow countrymen celebrating Christmas today."
Today is December 25, Just Christmas to the Rest of the world but for us Pakistanis it is much more. Today is the day Muhammad Ali Jinnah; the founder of our nation took foot in this earth. His sacrifices are well known and so is his hard work but one thing that people keep mentioning
especially on this day is how Jinnah wanted Pakistan to be and how it would be different if he was alive. All I have to say is
WAKE UP my people. As much as i hate to say this as i admire Jinnah greatly: Jinnah was nothing but an ordinary man with a dream. He's dream was to create Pakistan; a land that would protect and unite us Muslims from Indian cruelty in the future. As far as I see it his dream came true ,but sadly like everyone says he died too soon and left his dream incomplete. So shouldn't we take up the responsibility and make Pakistan better? Isn't that what he wanted? Isn't that what we all want? Jinnah is no more, so what! Like I said before, Jinnah was just an ordinary man with a dream, his niyyat (intentions) was pure and therefore God assisted him. Inshallah with God's help we can do the same, but we need to move on first and not just remember a man and his accomplishments but create our very own accomplishments and make our Pakistan; Land of the Pure, as pure as we can make It. Hope my message gets to all my brothers and sisters. Happy Birthday to Baba Jinnah and Merry Christmas to all the Christians in and out of Pakistan.
UNFPA [United Nations Population Fund] has just announced that Pakistan is much more ahead of India in terms of literacy rate. That is some mind-blowing news! For some reason this wasn't much surprising. For nation with a mentality that education a MUST and that it's not only for a good career but to survive in this world, this news was bound to come. Anyway lets get on with some statistics: according to the report 32.3% male population over the age of 15 are literate in Pakistan, while in India only 23.1% are literate [over 15 of course]. That's still kind of low for a male dominated society but Inshallah it will improve in the future. Now for the ladies: In Pakistan 60.4% of the female population that is over 15 is literate in Pakistan, while in India only 45.5% are literate. You go girls!
