Is Democracy Even Good For Pakistan??

Is democracy even good for Pakistan? I went through Pakistan's political history from it's creation to the present day and i found out why we had frequent army rule. The army had to take over most of the time because the leaders elected by the people were so dumb and had no knowledge about the nation and had no skills to lead the nation. A few examples of these kind of leaders are: Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz sharif, Zardari, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and Farooq Leghari. Leaders like them have brought nothing else to Pakistan except shame and failure. And if you don't believe me, go out your house right now [if your in Pak] and see if you feel safe to say what you have to say without someone trying to kill you. You can now compare Pakistan under Musharraf and Zardari. Under Musharraf our economy went up, our stock exchange market was the best and one of the best in the world, the country was much safer, corruption was declining, and people had the right to express whatever they wanted, unlike today where our economy is declining, corrupt leaders are back in power [and some back in the nation], it's barely safe and we are facing bomb blasts all over the country, and people can't express what they want without fear in their mind. Also Pak military leaders have discipline, knowledge, smarts, and strength that could come and have came very handy to our country. So is democracy really the right thing for us? Think friends...think....

Pakistan's Rare Gem; Shaukat Aziz

Today I want us to celebrate a man who is one of the finest leaders Pakistan has ever had; Shaukat Aziz. He was hand-picked by Musharraf to become Pakistan's Finance Minister and later served as the Prime Minister under Musharraf's presidency and saved our country from it's failing economy and declaring bankruptcy. He left his incredible salary and luscious lifestyle for the sake of Pakistan. Here is a list of some improvements that took place in Pakistan under Aziz's term.

  • Pakistan’s economy grew by 100% — to become $ 160 billion
  • Revenue grew by 100% — to become $ 11.4 billion
  • Per Capita Income grew by 100% — to become $ 925
  • Foreign Reserves grew by 500% — to become $ 17 billion
  • Exports grew by 100% — to become $ 18.5 billion
  • Textile exports grew by 100% — to become $ 11.2 billion
  • Karachi Stock Exchange grew by 500% — to become $ 75 billion
  • Foreign Direct Investment grew by 500% — to become $ 8 billion
  • Annual Debt servicing decreased by 35% — to become 26%
  • Poverty decreased by 10% — to become 24%
  • literacy rate grew by 10% — to become 54%
  • Public development Funds grew by 100% — to become Rs 520 billion

Aziz left office on November 16, 2007, at the end of his term and became the first Prime Minister of Pakistan to complete a full term in office. In early 2007, according to an independent survey by IRI, another surprising finding was that 22 per cent of the respondents thought Shaukat Aziz would be the best prime minister. On that count, Benazir scored a respectable 19 per cent and Nawaz Sharif only 11 per cent. Shaukat Aziz is currently operating his financial consultancy firm in UAE.

Awesome Song

Not really a new song but it's so good i had to share. It's "Bandiya Ho.." from the famous Pakistani movie Khuda Ke Liye. It's just very well composed and sung and you cannot afford to miss it. As highly as i recommend this song i recommend this movie also as it deals with the crisis Pakistan faces today and the new generation clashing with the old one. Anyway the song will be placed on the "Song of the Week" section [top left corner] for the rest of the week in case anyone missed this post. Enjoy!

Jamrud Masjid Bombing

Just as the Imam (prayer leader) concluded his Friday sermon and the faithful stood up for the Friday prayer a suicide bomber blew himself up in the masjid and killed 76 people along himself. These extremists who call themselves "muslims" go around killing innocent people [who are mostly or entirely muslims] and dare to say it was in the name of Islam!?! WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THIS?!? How do you call yourself a muslim while you go inside a masjid [God's house] and kill innocent muslims who follow their religion and are about to perform a Jumah prayer to show their obedience to God? WHAT KIND OF HYPOCRISY IS THIS?!? I am wondering, how retarded or brainwashed do you have to be to perform these kind of actions? I can believe some people even have sympathy or support these kind of groups. First of all, committing suicide is haram, killing innocent people including women and children is haram, blowing up God's house during a Jumah prayer is extremly haram, so what are these idiots expecting when they die? Heaven? Even after doing all of this? Don't these people have any kind of common sense or a brain to think with? I advise every Pakistani and every muslim to stay away from such cowards and enemies of Islam and may God save us from this hell and provide these lunatics with guidance and path to true Islam. [P.S. This is not the only suicide attack that took place in a masjid; there were also some during Eid prayers]

Rupal Valley

Rupal Valley is located in the Astore District of Pakistan's Northern Areas. It lies just south of 8,126 meter Nanga Parbat Mountain and is popular for treks to the mountain's Rupal Face, one of highest mountain faces in the world. The Rupal is home to Shina speaking herdsmen, who have grazed and harvested wood in the valley for hundreds of years. Overgrazing has caused some loss of vegetation, leading to wind-blown dust. Towering peaks on either side of the valley make it a breathtaking, albeit remote destination for adventurers.

Nanga Parbat

Located in the Northern Areas, Nanga Parbat is the 9th highest mountain on Earth. Nanga Parbat means "Naked Mountain" in Urdu. It is also known as the "Killer Mountain", Nanga Parbat was one of the deadliest of the Eight-thousanders for climbers in the first half of the twentieth century; since that time it has been less so, though still an extremely serious climb. It is also an immense, dramatic peak that rises far above its surrounding terrain.

The World's Double Standards

Why does the world have double standards against Muslims and Pakistan?
  • Why is it when the Marriot Hotel [Islamabad] got attacked by militants the world payed little/no attention towards it but when they attacked the Taj Hotel [Mumbai] the world cried along with the Indians?
  • Why is it that the world cannot forget the Jewish Holocaust in WW2 but looks away when Israel Slaughtered Innocent 1300+ Palestinians just last year?
  • Why is it that the world doesn't say anything to India when the Indian troops continue to murder, rape, assault, and try to eliminate the Kashmiri race? [More Info Here]
  • Why is every Muslim in the world looked down upon and is already labeled a terrorist before he can defend his innocence?
  • Why is it that the powerful countries are the first ones to call for peace but also the first ones to start a war?
  • Why is it that the world stops us from doing something but itself does it more than anyone else?
  • Why is the world quiet when America invaded 2 Muslim countries with no evidence and drove the lives of their people into a living hell?
The world is quiet but we shouldn't be. We should do our best and not only make Pakistan a better place to live in, but also the world; So Muslims all over the world do not have to suffer in the hands of injustice. Inshallah...

The Israeli Holocaust

Ok, this post doesn't have much to do with Pakistan but it is so intense and saddening that i had to share it. Last year over 1,300+ Palestinians were butchered by the hands of Israeli forces. What is more saddening is that all the world did was watch, even all those middle-eastern countries that swore Palestinians arabs as their brothers. There were protests in Pakistan and Iran and other parts of the world but the middle east and the world stood silent. The only nation to do anything was surprisingly: Venezuela. Seeing Israel trying to clean out the Palestinian race Venezuela expelled it's Israeli ambassador and cutted of all it's ties with Israel. It's pretty sad that the Arab nations in the middle-east with all the money and oil in the world stood quiet and a country that has barely anything to do with Islam or Muslims made a stand. Hitler once said "I could have annihilated all the Jews in the world, but i left some of them so you will know why i was killing them". Sounds racist and bad cause there are good Jews, but was he wrong? The Jewish nation is doing exactly what hitler was doing to them just 50 years back. Here are a few pics from last year's holocaust, I don't cry much but these pics made me cry. Leave comments as i want to see your reactions towards this. [CLICK 2 ENLARGE THE PICS]

Pakistan Saved From Tyrants

Pakistan has been saved from 2 tyrants; Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif. Providing its detailed judgement in the Sharif brothers disqualification case on Saturday, the Supreme Court said: “Under Article 45 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, although sentences were pardoned by the President of Pakistan, yet conviction was still intact and effective and having not been set aside by any competent higher/appellate court, conviction and disqualification would remain in existence.” This means even though the President of Pakistan let them go, their punishment and charges are still in effect and will take place. This is a very bright day for Pakistan as Pakistan is saved from yet another evil and justice has been served at last. What will happen to these tyrants? Only God knows, but here are some highlights from the judgement:

The Supreme Court Of Pakistan Stated That:
  • Nawaz is not a sagacious, righteous, or honest person
  • PML-N chief publicly propagated biased opinions
  • Nawaz sought to defame and bring into ridicule the judiciary, armed forces
  • No ‘reasonable, prudent’ man has cause to question "bias" in court
  • Shahbaz’s unpaid loans make him fugitive from law
  • PML-N president cannot be considered "righteous"
  • Shahbaz has been working to "ridicule, defame, harass, downgrade, humiliate" judiciary since 1997

The Long March

It took me a while to post this as i had to analyze closely not only the long march but also it's key players: Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Nawaz Sharif. Chaudhry has a good past and has done some good things for the nation, but he has done some things that even he should have never done. These things include:

  • CJP forced government officials to unlawfully help his son get admission to medical college and then had him appointed as Grade 18 Police Officer.
  • CJP was entitled to use a 1700cc car, but he used a 3000cc Mercedes and kept several other vehicles in his use in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
  • CJP required more protocol than he deserved. He required senior officials to receive him at airports and was also using helicopters and planes to go to private functions.
  • Use of a BMW Car "RAZIA 1" by his family
  • Different Oral and Written Orders in cases worth 55 million PKR
  • Asking for more perks than he was eligible for.
Him being suspended is quite reasonable if you think about it, but unfortunately most of the his supporters and the people rallied up for him aren't aware of this.

Now let's move on to Nawaz Sharif. As one of my previous posts about him show he is one of the most corrupt leaders in Pakistan and can do anything to gain power. He and his brother were banned from holding public offices because of their corrupt past and past damage to the country. They took advantage of the long march movement by joining it and making the public forget their evil image so they can use the public's support after the long march so they can once again hold office and loot the country [like they did in the 90s]. Our nation is pretty forgetful when it comes to politics and we are always giving chances for politicians to reform, but that never happens are we are always taken advantage of. Anyway, Nawaz Sharif and his supporters hyped up the long march and made it quite a huge thing in Pakistan. His party joing the long march could be credited for it's success.

So there it was: THE LONG MARCH; Our nation's people fighting for what's right but not knowing the full truth. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has been reinstated and Nawaz Sharif and his brother's case is being looked at. It might have been an under table deal between the 3; If Chaudhry is reinstated then the Sharifs come back to politics. I am happy that my nation's people fought for what is right and did not bow down against injustice, but I am sad as well because the truth they fought for was nothing but a mere lie...

Pakistan And The War On Terror

This is one complicated topic. To truly understand War On Terror [WOT] you have to look back in Afghani history.

The Start Of The War And It's Origin
When Afghanistan was being taken over by the Soviet forces, the Pakistani ISI and the American CIA got involved in the war to defeat the Soviets from succeeding. They trained groups like the Afghani Mujhadeen and Taliban so they can stop the Soviets and stabilize the country. Among those men being trained was Osama Bin Laden. The war caused much damage to Afghanistan as over 1 million Afghanis were killed, 5 million Afghanis fled to Pakistan and Iran, Another 2 million Afghans were displaced within the country. In the 1980s, one out of two refugees in the world was an Afghan. After the soviets were defeated, the U.S. left and Afghanistan was left with a civil war in it's hand [between the Afghani government and the Taliban] in which the Taliban took over Afghanistan. On September 11, 2001, the U.S. was attacked on it's own soil. The person behind the attacks was said to Osama Bin Laden who had differences with the U.S. and Saudi government because following the Soviet Union's withdrawal from Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden returned to Saudi Arabia. The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990 had put the country of Saudi Arabia and its ruling House of Saud at risk as Saudi's most valuable oil fields (Hama) were within easy striking distance of Iraqi forces in Kuwait, and Saddam's call to pan-Arab/Islamism could potentially rally internal dissent. In the face of a seemingly massive Iraqi military presence, Saudi Arabia's own forces were well armed but far outnumbered. Bin Laden offered the services of his Mujhadeen to King Fahd to protect Saudi Arabia from the Iraqi army. The Saudi monarch refused bin Laden's offer, opting instead to allow U.S. and allied forces to deploy on Saudi territory. The deployment angered Bin Laden, as he believed the presence of foreign troops in the "land of the two mosques" (Mecca and Medina) profaned sacred soil. After speaking publicly against the Saudi government for harboring American troops, he was quickly forced into exile to Sudan. On April 9, 1994 his Saudi citizenship was revoked. His family publicly disowned him. With the political conflict Afghanistan was trapped in the picture again as the U.S. claimed that Osama was residing in Afghanistan. The invasion took place and U.S. dragged Pakistan along stating that "If you don't help us then you will be blown back to the stone ages" [true statement admitted by then Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf].

The Horrors Of The Taliban
When Pakistan got involved in the war it started realizing the Taliban's horrible ways. Although the Taliban and Al-Qaeda claim to be Islamic groups they kill innocent people no matter what they're religion, race, age, or gender is. People to this day are being brainwashed to believe that they are fighting for the cause of their religion but are in fact being used for the political needs of their groups. Using Islam to meet your political needs is not only Haram [forbidden] but killing Muslims, women, children, the elderly, innocent people, and committing suicide are all unislamic but are daily practices of the Taliban. Also the money being made for such groups are made through the sales of drugs throughout the world [evidence backs it up]. The real Muhjadeen have not mostly distanced themselves with these groups but the younger generations have unfortunately grown into them. There have been evidence that supports India's involvement in Afghanistan and Tribal Areas of Pakistan to strengthen the Taliban and destabilize both countries.

Pakistan Fighting A Different War

Although going by the same name Pakistan is fighting a different war. Not following the U.S.'s flawed war Pakistan is using the war as a way to remove unislamic and dangerous groups such as the Taliban from its soil. It has been quite successful as the local tribes in Pakistan's tribal areas have been educated on the evils of the Taliban and are helping the Pakistani army defeat them. Pakistan is going through a revolution as well as every other muslim in the world.

Success Story And Unequal Treatment

Pakistan is the only country who is winning the WOT even though having world powers like the U.S. and Britain involved in the war. Pakistan have killed, arrested, destroyed and brought the most damage to the Taliban more than any other country. It even has the most victories [recently eliminated ALL the militants in the Bajaur Agency in Pakistan]. Even with such success Pakistan is being treated unequal by it's allies and is being told to do more than it is currently doing even though the Pakistani people are being affected badly by the war.

Wazir Khan Masjid

The Wazir Khan Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan, is famous for its extensive faience tile work. It has been described as ' a mole on the cheek of Lahore'. It was built in seven years, starting around 1634-1635 A.D., during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. It was built by Shaikh Ilm-ud-din Ansari, a native of Chiniot, who rose to be the court physician to Shah Jahan and later, the Governor of Lahore. He was commonly known as Wazir Khan. (The word wazir means minister in Urdu.) The mosque is located inside the Inner City and is easiest accessed from Delhi Gate.
